Sachsens Städte und ihre Verflechtungsräume

Abstract

Wir betrachten die wechselseitigen Beziehungen zwischen Städten und den übrigen Räumen in Sachsen näher. Die Städte werden im Hinblick auf ihre stadttypischen Funktionen im Raum abgegrenzt; die übrigen Gemeinden Sachsens werden auf der Basis von Pendel- und Umzugsbewegungen einem „engeren“ und einem „weiteren“ Verflechtungsraum zugewiesen. Wir definieren 38 Gemeinden als Städte, 231 Gemeinden als engeren und 150 Gemeinden als weiteren Verflechtungsraum.
