Abstract

Satellitenbilder von 1992 und 2018 illustrieren eindrücklich, wie stark sich die Lichtemissionen und damit einhergehend die wirtschaftlichen Aktivitäten in den neuen Bundesländern zwischen 1992 und 2018 verändert haben. Auch wenn die Zugewinne an Lichtintensität nicht überall gleichermaßen sichtbar sind, so sind verschiedene Regionen in Nachtaufnahmen deutlich heller geworden.
