Landesweite Lockdowns, wirtschaftliche Wahrnehmung und politische Einstellungen in der Bevölkerung

Abstract

Die Covid-19-Pandemie hat die Lebensumstände der Menschen weltweit verändert. Möglicherweise haben sich durch die Pandemie selbst wie auch durch die tiefgreifenden Politikinterventionen die politischen und ökonomischen Wahrnehmungen der Bürger*innen verschoben. Dieser Beitrag fasst einige Ergebnisse aus einer großangelegten Befragung in Deutschland, Frankreich, Spanien und dem Vereinigten Königreich zu politischen Einstellungen und ökonomischen Wahrnehmungen aus dem März 2020 zusammen, als in diesen vier Ländern zu unterschiedlichen Zeitpunkten erhebliche Kontakt- und Mobilitätsbeschränkungen eingeführt wurden. Insgesamt hat sich die wirtschaftliche Unsicherheit vor allem bei jüngeren Menschen erhöht, populistische Tendenzen haben nicht zugenommen. Überraschend können wir eine leicht positivere Haltung gegenüber Globalisierung registrieren. Ebenfalls zu beobachten war allerdings auch ein Anstieg der autoritären Tendenzen.
