In der neuen EU-Förderperiode könnte Sachsen 2,5 Mrd. Euro erhalten

Abstract

Mit knapp 2,5 Mrd. Euro könnte der Freistaat Sachsen künftig etwa 270 Mill. Euro weniger aus dem Europäischen Fonds für Regionale Entwicklung und dem Europäischen Sozialfonds erhalten als in der vorangehenden Förderperiode. Bedingt ist dies durch die neuen Regeln für die Verteilung der EU-Mittel. Diese sprechen erstens bestehenbleibenden Übergangsregionen Mittel der stärker entwickelten Regionen zu. Zweitens werden die Übergangsregionen anders abgegrenzt als zuvor. Davon profitieren insbesondere die Regionen Chemnitz und Dresden. Inwieweit sich diese Mittelausstattung jedoch tatsächlich realisieren lässt, obliegt dem politischen Verhandlungsgeschick.
