Regionale Mobilität sächsischer Auszubildender: Die späten Folgen des Nachwendegeburtenknicks

Abstract

Die Situation für Ausbildungsbewerber und -betriebe hat sich, nicht nur in Sachsen, gewandelt. Während in früheren Jahren die Zahl der Ausbildungsbewerber jene der verfügbaren Lehrstellen oft weit übertraf, wird aktuell immer häufiger ein Mangel an Auszubildenden beklagt. Der Beitrag rekapituliert zum einen die Ursachen für diesen Wandel und beleuchtet zum anderen, wie sich dieser auf das Mobilitätsverhalten der in Sachsen wohnhaften Auszubildenden auswirkte. Der zeitliche Vergleich von Auspendlerquoten, -distanzen und -zielen zeigt, dass die in Sachsen lebenden Lehrlinge auf die – überwiegend demographisch bedingte – Entspannung der Ausbildungssituation mit einer rückläufigen Mobilitätsneigung reagierten.
