Wachstum und Konvergenz in den europäischen Regionen

Abstract

Die Regionen der 15 EU-Mitgliedsländer sowie Polens, Tschechiens und Ungarns weisen große Unterschiede in ihrer Wirtschaftskraft auf. Diese manifestieren sich nicht nur innerhalb den 18 Ländern, sondern auch zwischen den Regionen innerhalb der einzelnen Länder. Gerade aber die ärmeren Regionen werden in den nächsten sechs Jahren ein kräftiges Wirtschaftswachstum aufweisen, sodass sich die Regionen in ihrer Wirtschaftskraft annähern dürften. Die Konvergenzprozesse zwischen den Regionen der einzelnen Länder werden davon jedoch in unterschiedlichem Maße betroffen sein.
