Une perspective holistique sur la réglementation des chaînes d’approvisionnement mondiales

Abstract

The regulation of companies? responsibilities for ensuring respect of human rights and the environment wherever they are producing ranks high on the political agenda. European Union Member States are at the forefront of this development. The present article provides an overview not only of the different regulatory attempts but much more importantly of the set of legal questions that arise when this issue is viewed from a holistic perspective. The authors argue that the regulation of global value chains requires consideration of the various legal fields?corporate law, commercial practices, abusive clauses, consumer sales, contractual and tortious liabilities?and the development of integrated solutions that overcome the thinking in legal boxes.
