Abstract

Studies on measuring the performance of microfinance institutions using non-parametric DEA approach have focused on either production or intermediation approach. None to our knowledge has combined both approaches in measuring the efficiency of these institutions. This research aims to fill this gap by using a DEA multi-stage approach to measure financial and social performance of MFIs members of the MC² network in Cameroon. The results of this research based on technical efficiency show that there is no opposition between financial performance and social performance.
