Die Disponiblen und die Überflüssigen: Über die abgedunkelte Kehrseite der Employabilitygesellschaft

Abstract

Der Beitrag untersucht die Folgen neuartiger, durch die heutige Dynamik der Arbeitsgesellschaft ausgelöste soziale Exklusionseffekte und Spaltungstendenzen. Es geht um neue soziale Verwundungsrisiken und existentielle Gefährdungen unterschiedlicher Gruppen und Populationen. Gefährdet sind solche Personen und Personengruppen, die sich z.B. trotz guter Bildungs- und Berufsvoraussetzungen dauerhaft mit der Erfahrung von Ausgrenzung und Ausschluss konfrontiert sehen. Es entsteht eine neue soziale Grenzziehung zwischen “den Disponiblen” und “den Überflüssigen”, die quer zu den alten sozialen Ungleichheiten zwischen oben und unten, Armen und Reichen usw. zu liegen scheint. Der Beitrag analysiert die Bedingungen und Mechanismen dieser sozialen Grenzziehung und interpretiert biographische Verlaufsmuster in die “Überflüssigkeit” als eine ihrer charakteristischen Erscheinungen.
