Berufliche Handlungskompetenz bei erwerbstätigen Männern und Frauen

Abstract

Trotz der zunehmenden Angleichung der Lebenspläne von Frauen und Männern wird in der Arbeitsmarkt- und Berufsforschung von einer geschlechtsspezifischen Segregation des Arbeitsmarktes gesprochen. Am Beispiel einer Gelegenheitsstichprobe von 920 Erwerbstätigen in Vollzeitarbeitsverhältnissen wird gefragt, ob Geschlechtseffekte existieren in der Lernhaltigkeit der Arbeitssituation als einem Prädiktor arbeitsimmanenter Kompetenzentwicklung, in der Beschaffenheit beruflicher Handlungskompetenz, die über das Selbstkonzept mit Hilfe standardisierter Analyseinstrumente erfasst wird, und bezüglich des Anteils von Personen mit Führungsfunktion. Die Befunde enthalten kleine, aber signifikante Geschlechtseffekte in den Ausprägungen des Selbstkonzepts beruflicher Kompetenz zugunsten der Männer und sie belegen, dass Männer häufiger Führungsfunktionen ausüben. Es gibt keine Geschlechtseffekte bei der Einschätzung der Lernhaltigkeit der Arbeitssituation.
