The geography of innovation in a small metropolitan region: An intra-regional approach in Luxembourg

Abstract

type="main" xml:lang="es"> El objetivo de este artículo es analizar los determinantes locales de la innovación en una pequeña región metropolitana europea. Primero, examinamos la medida en que el espacio geográfico es un factor determinante de la innovación para cinco unidades intrarregionales. Segundo, investigamos si la innovación depende de la accesibilidad al centro de la media. En ambos casos examinamos la propensión de la innovación y los resultados de dicha innovación por medio de microdatos de la Encuesta Comunitaria sobre la Innovación llevada a cabo en Luxemburgo. El artículo proporciona pruebas de un vínculo entre los efectos en la innovación a escala intrarregional de los perfiles de las empresas y las externalidades de aglomeración.
