Critical Success Factors in Building the Immersed Tunnel and Making it a Dynamic Factor for Maritime Trade and an International Development Route

In conclusion, the study aimed to identify the critical success factors in the construction of the immersed tunnel and make it a dynamic factor for maritime trade and an international development path. The current study relied on the descriptive analytical approach by designing an electronic questionnaire and distributing it to a sample of 100 employees working in the port of Faw in Iraq. The data were collected and analyzed using the SPSS program and the results were extracted. The study concluded that the tunnel design takes into account environmental aspects to ensure sustainability. The project also relies on the latest engineering technologies in design and construction. The project plans also include accurate economic feasibility studies. The project is being implemented according to an accurate timetable, and sufficient human resources are available to implement the project. The necessary funding for the project is also adequately allocated, and the budget is regularly updated based on developments in the project. In terms of safety and quality, workers receive the necessary training on safety procedures, and periodic inspections are conducted to ensure that the project adheres to quality standards. In terms of the economic and social impact, the project will contribute to increasing commercial activity in the region, and then the project will provide new job opportunities for members of the local community.
