L’accroissement de la dette étudiante aux États-Unis, source de fragilité économique ?

Abstract

Aux États-Unis, l’encours de la dette détenue par les étudiants a fortement progressé depuis 2008. Parallèlement, un contexte économique moins favorable pour les jeunes diplômés a entraîné une hausse des défauts sur les prêts étudiants. Les répercussions sur l’économie américaine sont déjà discernables, néanmoins les risques financiers devraient rester circonscrits.
