Predictors of Social Studies Learning Style Preferences among Public Junior High School Pupils in East Mamprusi Municipality, Ghana

Abstract

The study sought to establish the extent to which Home-related factors, School-related factors and Personal factors predict learning style preferences among public Junior High School pupils in studying Social Studies in East Mamprusi Municipality in the North East Region of Ghana. The Grasha and Riechmann’s (1982) learning styles theory guided the study. Cross-sectional descriptive survey design within the positivists’ quantitative methodology was used for the study. Structured questionnaire was used to collect data from 230 participants selected through proportionate stratified random sampling technique for the study.With the aid of SPSS, Multiple Linear Regression Analytical test was used to analyse the data.
