Abstract

This empirical study was aimed at determining the effect of entrepreneurial orientation on small and medium enterprises (SMEs) sustainability in North Central Nigeria. Most SMEs in the North Central Nigeria has performed beyond expectations. Many of them have not been able to sustain their business due to lack of innovation in their business operations and this need to be addressed. A survey research design was adopted and the study population comprised of 350 selected SMEs operating in the North central region. Data which was gathered through primary source were presented and analyzed using descriptive statistics such as tables and percentages. The hypotheses were tested using multiple regression analysis and the results show that all the dimensions, pro-activeness, innovation and risk taking have positive significant effect on liquidity, profitability and diversification of SMEs (p
