Abstract

Agricultural entrepreneurship is actively developing in the Russian Federation. However, both potential and already operating farmers need timely and adequate advisory support, which is not always available for them nowadays. Low level of support from consultants often becomes a problem for creation and development of businesses. Hence, the identification of promising areas of this support for farms allows solving the scientific and practical tasks of the research topic in many ways. The article, based on the Omsk Region case study, analyzes the reasons of why giving advisory support to local farmers is necessary. Ways of improving efficiency of advisory system for small agribusiness have been identified. For the first time in agricultural economy, structure of a mechanism “From communication – to consulting product” has been revealed, showing the features of gratuitous advisory support for farms, taking into account the agribusiness specific features. The results obtained suggest that advisory support organizations develop activities that are the most in-demand in the current economic conditions, thus encouraging farmers in the region.
