Abstract

The article examines the discussion of the ideas proposed by F. M. Dostoevsky in the White-Guard press of Omsk in 1919. The debate among the intelligentsia of the city was caused by the discussion of V. Kiryakov’s report focused on “Demons” novel. Some participants of the literary circle assessed this book by Dostoevsky as a providence of the Russian revolution. The report by V. Kiryakov was published in the spring of 1919 in the newspaper “Zarya”. “Russian Army” newspaper published “The idea of the Kingdom of God on earth in the works of Dostoevsky” article in September 1919. The author of the article who initialized himself as M. H. considered the ideas of the great writer about the future of Russia and the solution of the “social question”. The appeal to Dostoevsky’s ideas was an attempt to answer the most important questions about the revolution and the fate of Russia, to find a counterbalance to the ideas of Bolshevik propaganda.
