Abstract

When we try to study the policy- making and decision- making in the the Islamic management we do not refer to the ordinary methods available rather, we wish to delve into the deep structure of decision-making and policy- making from the view- point of wisdom and divine inspiration. Is Islam, policy- making and decision- making are based on thinking and counseling. Thus, counseling is one of the basic socio-political aspects of the Islamic nation. The holy Koran emphasizes counseling it has made affairs dependent upon collective thinking and has underscored deliberating statements and the selection of the best. Collective thinking and deliberation is considered significant in the Islamic management. Policy- making is based on the divine pattern. Objectives are in the realm of Islam, but the instruments and forms are in the sphere of science. Decision- making and determination is based on weighing the ideas and notions of experts. but then the best options are selected with heavy reliance on Allah. Reliance on God (or tavakkol) and counsel are on differing phases, but they complement each other they are not in contrast, the relation of tavakkol with monotheism is explained through the human actions. Tavakkol is a means for the attainment of divine blessings and an instrument for achieving one's objectives. The effects of thinking come to fruition only in connection with tavakkol. The stages of counseling are not effective if they are not in harmony with the body. Thus, the results of consultation in policy- making become strengthened through tavakkol.
