This study is an applied descriptive survey, making use of data collection method, library research and fielded study. The statistical population of the study consists of the University of Yazd faculty members. Correlation test and regression analysis are employed to finalize the research goals as well as to test the hypotheses. The results of Pearson correlation test indicate a significant relationship between emotional intelligence and stress controlling factors. Besides, the results of stepwise regression analysis illustrated that social awareness and self-consciousness factors significantly influence stress controlling factors. In other words, the individuals enjoying social awareness and self-consciousness have more capability to control and manage the stress because when facing stressful circumstances, they analyze the situation and problems while keeping patient and well adapting themselves to the stressing conditions by means of previous experiences and keeping hopeful for a better situation.
