Kemampuan Literasi Sains Siswa Melalui Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) berbasis Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT)

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya literasi sains di Indonesia. Literasi sains sangat penting bagi siswa karena dapat menumbuhkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan pemecahan masalah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan Problem-based Learning berbasis Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) pada siswa dengan keterampilan literasi sains. Metode: Jenis penelitian ini adalah pra eksperimen, dengan menggunakan desain tes literasi sains. Sampel penelitian ini adalah kelas VII A yang berjumlah 32 siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah teknik simple random sampling. Teknik analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis statistik deskriptif. Hasil: Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan Problem-Based Learning berbasis Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) terhadap keterampilan literasi sains termasuk dalam kategori tinggi dilihat dari skor rata-rata tes literasi sains yang diperoleh yaitu skor 71,71. Kesimpulan: Model pembelajaran berbasis masalah berbasis Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) melibatkan siswa, memungkinkan mereka untuk mengidentifikasi masalah secara cepat secara mandiri maupun kelompok dan memberikan pengalaman belajar yang bermakna dengan memahami budaya.
