Abstract

Product innovations are a powerful instrument for gaining a competitive advantage that determine the growth of company’s market share. Howeever the majority of Polish food industry companies show a low activity in this area, which can result in losing their competitiveness in local and global markets. In the nearest future the companies should be more focused on the Research & Development (R&D) activities as well as on new products’ distribution and sales methods. Strengthening product innovation activities of Polish food industry companies will help introducing new products that meet modern consumer expectations. / Synopsis. Zwiększenie aktywności polskich przedsiębiorstw przemysłu spożywczego w obszarze innowacyjnej działalności produktowej będzie sprzyjać także wprowadzaniu produktów dopasowanych do potrzeb współczesnych konsumentów.
