Abstract

The objective of this paper is to establish a master plan based on a systematic and strategic approach to implement a sound environment-friendly agriculture in Jinan-gun, Jeollabuk-do. In order to establish the master plan, we conducted a survey to collect the opinions of both conventional and environment-friendly farming practicing farmers and examined the accounting balance of regional nutrients to analyze the regional-based environmental carrying capacity. The analysis results suggest a systematic and stepwise promotion plan with three stages: infrastructure construction stage (2008-2010), take-off stage (2011-2015), and sustainable development stage (2015-2020) with the overall long-term plan targeted at 2020.
