Le contexte historique et politique de la réforme de la PAC

Author

Listed:
  • Burrell, Alison Margaret

Abstract

This article presents a short summary of the main developments relevant to CAP reform during the last 25 years. The basic principles of the MacSharry Plan, launched at the beginning of 1991, are summarised, together with the reactions of Member States. A brief comparison of the initial reform plan with the final agreement reached at the end of May 1992 prompts a preliminary evaluation of the agreement in terms of general historic and political considerations.
