Abstract

Effect of land use on manganese distribution in soil has been carried out in countries like Iran and Lagos city of Nigeria, however, there is still a great scarcity of information regarding the concentration of manganese in the ancient cities of Nigeria (Abeokuta and Ibadan) based on the different forms of land use. The study aims to evaluate the impact of land use on manganese distribution in these soils under 8 different land uses (crop farm, animal farm, education, residential, roadside, and industrial, market and forest).
