Abstract

Nosocomial infections, acquired during hospital stays, pose a global health concern, particularly in developing countries. Variances in epidemiology and etiology exist among nations and even within hospitals. Multi-antibiotic-resistant microorganisms, easily transmitted, cause pneumonia, bloodstream, urinary tract, and surgical wound infections in Nigeria. Antimicrobial resistance amplifies the risks of illness, death, and healthcare expenses.
