Relative Grip Strength and Incident Arterial Stiffness in Chinese Middle-Aged and Older Population- A Longitudinal Study

Abstract

The study aimed to explore the relationship between relative grip strength and the development of arterial stiffness. The final analysis included 6,033 people aged 45 years or older who had participated in both the 2011 and 2015 waves of the China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study surveys. The grip meter was used to measure grip strength, and relative grip strength was determined by dividing grip strength by body mass index.
