Innovationen in der deutschen Wirtschaft: Indikatorenbericht zur Innovationserhebung 2019

Abstract

Die Innovationsausgaben sind im Jahr 2018 weiter angestiegen. Insgesamt wurden rund 173 Milliarden Euro für Innovationen ausgegeben. Damit wurden die Erwartungen aus dem Vorjahr erfüllt. Insbesondere im Dienstleistungssektor wurden die Ausgaben für Innovationen kräftig erhöht. Die Innovationsbeteiligung verzeichnet ebenfalls einen Zuwachs: Der Anteil an Unternehmen mit kontinuierlicher Forschung und Entwicklung (FuE) stieg im Jahr 2018 insbesondere in der Industrie sowie unter den Großunternehmen an. Nach einer Änderung der Definition ist die Anzahl der Innovatoren nun deutlich höher und liegt bei 181.400 Unternehmen. Deutsche Unternehmen verzeichnen im Jahr 2018 einen Rückgang bei den Innovationserfolgen. Bei den Produktinnovationen ist im Vergleich zum Vorjahr ein Rückgang um rund 5 Prozent zu erkennen. Im Zeitraum 2016 bis 2018 haben sich mehr als 30.000 deutsche Unternehmen an FuE- oder anderen Innovationskooperationen beteiligt. Die höchsten Anteilswerte von innovationsaktiven Unternehmen mit Innovationskooperationen finden sich in den forschungsintensiven Industriebranchen. Die zwei größten Innovationshemmnisse in Deutschland sind die angespannte Fachkräftesituation sowie fehlende interne und externe Finanzierungsquellen.
