Organisationaler Wandel für muslimische Badegäste in deutschen Schwimmbädern: Schnelle Anpassungen und Konflikte

Abstract

Burkinis, getrennte Schwimmzeiten für muslimische Frauen und Schwimmbadverbote für männliche Flüchtlinge als Präventionsmaßnahme gegen sexuelle Übergriffe - Schwimmbäder in Deutschland wurden in den vergangenen Jahren vermehrt im Zusammenhang mit einem migrationsbezogenen Wandel diskutiert. Dieser Wandel besteht auch in der Neuaushandlung von Säkularität, wobei insbesondere Anpassungen für konservative muslimische Badegäste die Verhandlungsmasse stellen. Im Rahmen dieser Studie wollen wir daher untersuchen, zu welchen Aushandlungsprozessen es zwischen Nutzern, Organisation und Umwelt kommt, wenn besonders freizügige und konservativmuslimische Körperpraktiken im Schwimmbad aufeinandertreffen. Die Analysen beruhen auf einer für deutsche Printmedien für den Zeitraum 1998-2008 durchgeführten Political Claims Analysis sowie einer Umfrage unter Schwimmbädern in Deutschland (n=339). Erhoben wurden die Daten im Rahmen der Teilstudie Schwimmbäder des BMBF-Verbundprojekts BODYRULES.
