Blühende Landschaften? Ein Beitrag zur Transformationsforschung

Abstract

Der Beitrag untersucht den Transformationsprozeß von Unternehmen in den neuen Bundesländern und stellt Bezüge zu dem in anderen ehemals sozialistischen Ländern her. Der Autor erklärt, wie diese Unternehmen den Transformationsprozeß vom volkseigenen Betrieb im sozialistischen Wirtschaftssystem zum Privatunternehmen im marktwirtschaftlichen System angepackt und bewältigt haben. Außerdem zeigt er, welches die Faktoren waren, die den Erfolg maßgebend bestimmt haben. Die Ursachen für die hohen Kosten sowie die lange Dauer des Prozesses werden untersucht und über die spezifischen Bedingungen des sozialistischen Wirtschaftssystems hinaus auf die gesamte Geschichte von Unternehmen zurückgeführt.
