Gar nicht so anders: Eine vergleichende Analyse der Generationenbeziehungen bei Migranten und Einheimischen in der zweiten Lebenshälfte

Abstract

Diese Studie untersucht erstmals in Deutschland auf repräsentativer Datenbasis, wie sich die Beziehungen der älteren Eltern zu ihren erwachsenen Kindern zwischen der einheimischen und der Migrantenbevölkerung unterscheiden. Mit der zunehmenden Zahl älterer Ausländer(inn)en bekommt das Phänomen des „Altern in der Migration“ größere Aufmerksamkeit. Das Hauptinteresse liegt hier auf der Familienkohäsion und den Unterstützungspotenzialen in Migrantenfamilien, zu denen bisher gegensätzliche Annahmen entweder von einem größeren Zusammenhalt oder häufigeren intergenerationalen (Kultur-)Konflikten im Vergleich zu Einheimischen existieren.
