Das Ende der neoklassischen Orthodoxie? Oder: Wieso ein methodischer Pluralismus gut täte

Abstract

Das neoklassische Paradigma einer Markt- bzw. Tauschwirtschaft stellt zweifellos die ,Normalwissenschaft' in der Ökonomie dar, der sich gerade auch in Deutschland der ganz überwiegende Teil der forschungsintensiven und politikberatenden Wirtschaftswissenschaftler verschrieben haben. In den USA wird die Kritik an den grundlegenden Annahmen und den daraus ableitbaren wirtschaftspolitischen Maßnahmen von prominenter Seite zunehmend lauter. In diesem Artikel wird die neoklassische Normalwissenschaft anhand der Axiome ihres ,Kerns und der zusätzlichen Annahmen ihres ,schützenden Gürtels' beschrieben und die Kritik an den impliziten Postulaten herausgearbeitet. Außerdem wird beschrieben, dass die deutsche akademische Ökonomie auf den sich anbahnenden Paradigmenwechsel schlecht vorbereitet scheint und eine größere Methoden- und Modellpluralität dringend nötig ist.
