Informationsquellen für IT-Professionals: Analyse und Bewertung der Fachpresse aus Sicht der Wirtschaftsinformatik

Abstract

Der vorliegende Forschungsbericht präsentiert die Ergebnisse eines Hauptseminars am Lehrstuhl für Wirtschaftsinformatik und Unternehmensmodellierung der Universität Duisburg-Essen, Campus Essen. Im Rahmen der Lehrveranstaltung erarbeiteten die Teilnehmer Bewertungskriterien zur differenzierten Untersuchung von Publikationen, die sich primär an IT-Professionals und IT-Entscheider richten (ITFachpresse). In neun Seminararbeiten wird jeweils eine ausgewählte IT-Fachzeitschrift anhand des entwickelten Bezugsrahmens untersucht. Neben quantitativen Kriterien, wie bspw. Seitenanzahl, Anteile an Werbung und Abbildungen, werden dabei Anforderungen an Nachvollziehbarkeit, Begründung und Objektivität aus der Sicht der verschiedenen Zielgruppen (Lesergruppen) als Kriterien herangezogen. Dieser Bericht fasst die wesentlichen Ergebnisse der eingereichten Arbeiten zusammen und nimmt eine vergleichende Gegenüberstellung der untersuchten Publikationen vor. Die Ergebnisse dieser Analyse unterstützen die intendierten Lesergruppen bei der Auswahl von IT-Fachzeitschriften und geben Nutzern im akademischen Umfeld einen Überblick über ein sonst eher vernachlässigtes Genre.
