Ideologie und Politik bei Javier Milei: Libertärer Populismus in Argentinien

Abstract

Am disruptiven Politikstil Javier Mileis hat sich nach seinem Amtsantritt als argentinischer Präsident am 10. Dezember 2023 nichts geändert. Weiterhin profiliert er sich - auch in den sozialen Medien - als aggressiver Einzelkämpfer, der einen Kreuzzug führt. Mileis Regierungspolitik entspricht weitgehend seiner Wahlkampfrhetorik. Im Juli erzielte die Regierung erste verhandlungspolitische Erfolge - es gelang ihr, ein Gesetzespaket durch das Parlament zu bringen und sich mit drei Vierteln der Provinzgouverneure auf einen wirtschaftspolitischen Kompromiss zu einigen. Während Argentiniens ökonomische Perspektiven noch unklar sind, stehen viele demokratische Errungenschaften der letzten Jahrzehnte unter Druck.
