Persönliches Informationsmanagement – Grundlagen einer effektiven Informationsnutzung

Abstract

Im Mittelpunkt der Darstellung steht das individuelle Informationshandeln im beruflichen Kontext, d.h. die effektive Nutzung von Informationen am Arbeitsplatz. Dieser Inhalt wird mit dem Begriff "Persönliches Informationsmanagement" - im Gegensatz zum betrieblichen Informationsmanagement - belegt. Dazu werden theoretische und begriffliche Grundlagen - vor allem zur Unterscheidung zwischen "Daten" und "Information" - vermittelt. Nach einer Diskussion des Informationsbegriffs wird die Bedeutung von Information auf den Ebenen Gesellschaft, Unternehmen und persönliche Informationsnutzung diskutiert. In Bezug auf das Informationshandeln wird das Grundmodell von Informationsnachfrage, -angebot und -bedarf behandelt. Darauf bauen Ausführungen zu einer informationsorientierten Aufgabenanalyse auf. Anschließend werden eine Klassifikation des Informationshandelns und der Informationsprozess behandelt. Zur Modellierung eines Informationsprozesses wird eine einfache Darstellungstechnik vermittelt. Der Begriff und die zunehmende Bedeutung der Informationsqualität werden am Beispiel einer Metrik zur Qualitätsmessung behandelt. Einige rechtliche Aspekte im Umgang mit Informationen, insbesondere die Datensicherung und -archivierung sowie rechtliche Aspekte der Nutzung von E-Mails runden die Darstellung ab.
