Deutliche Anzeichen einer Belebung: Konjunkturbericht 2004 für Nordrhein-Westfalen

Abstract

Die Konjunktur in Nordrhein-Westfalen hat sich in der zweiten Hälfte des Jahres 2003 belebt. Anregungen kamen vor allem vom günstigeren weltwirtschaftlichen Umfeld, das zu einer deutlich wachsenden Zahl Aufträgen aus dem Ausland führte. Dies stimuliert mittlerweile die Industrieproduktion und lässt auch die Inlandsaufträge zunehmen. Im Durchschnitt des Jahres 2003 wird das BIP in Nordrhein-Westfalen zwar leicht um 0,3 % sinken. 2004 dürfte es aber um 1,5 % zunehmen. Getragen wird die Belebung von der Auslandsnachfrage und zunehmend den Investitionen. Die Beschäftigung dürfte allerdings erst nach und nach ausgeweitet werden. Die Arbeitslosenquote wird indes wegen der Umgestaltung der Arbeitsmarktpolitik und der damit verbundenen Bereinigung der Statistik leicht sinken von 9,6 % in 2003 auf 9,4 % in 2004.
