Regionales Wachstum: Sind die Dienstleistungen der Motor?

Abstract

Kaldors Hypothesen zum (regionalen) wirtschaftlichen Wachstum, die Beziehungen zwischen Output, Beschäftigung und Produktivität im sekundären Sektor herstellen, werden in modifizierter Form auf den tertiären Sektor (Dienstleistungen) übertragen und anhand von Kreisdaten der Bundesländer Hessen, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Rheinland-Pfalz und Saarland für 1980-92 mittels Schätzverfahren, die auch räumliche Autokorrelation zulassen, überprüft. Es lassen sich zwar Beschäftigungswirkungen der Dienstleistungen auf das Produzierende Gewerbe nachweisen, sie sind aber eher gering.
