Das Okun'sche Gesetz: Eine empirische Überprüfung für ausgewählte OECD-Länder unter besonderer Berücksichtigung der nationalen Arbeitsmarktordnungen

Abstract

Im vorliegenden Beitrag wird der Zusammenhang zwischen Output und Beschäftigung im Konjunkturverlauf über eine Modifizierung des Okun'schen Gesetzes für die Bundesrepublik Deutschland, Frankreich, Großbritannien, Kanada und die USA untersucht. Dabei wird sowohl auf Einzelschätzungen als auch auf Pooling-Schätzungen zurückgegriffen. Es zeigt sich, daß die Verbindung zwischen Güter- und Arbeitsmarkt in Ländern mit wenig regulierten Beschäftigungsmärkten enger ist als in Staaten, in denen verstärkt institutionelle Hemmnisse vorliegen.
