Süddeutsche Cluster und Automobilstandorte prägen KI-Patentintensität

Abstract

Die KI-Forschungslandschaft der Unternehmen in Deutschland ist geografisch stark konzentriert: 56 Prozent aller KI-Patentanmeldungen im Jahr 2019 von Erfindern aus Deutschland entfallen auf lediglich 10 von 401 Kreisen. Dabei dominieren Kreise mit starken Verbindungen zur Automobilindustrie. In mehr als der Hälfte der Kreise entstehen dagegen überhaupt keine KI-Patentanmeldungen.
