Regionalanalyse Industrie: Geringe Arbeitslosigkeit trotz hoher Corona-Betroffenheit

Abstract

Die regionale Corona-Betroffenheit in Deutschland zeigt sich in hohem Maße heterogen. Städte und industriell geprägte Regionen verzeichneten die höchsten Infektionsraten. Durch den Dienstleistungssektor geprägte Kreise mit bereits angespanntem Arbeitsmarkt bekommen die Krise in Form von gestiegener Arbeitslosigkeit besonders deutlich zu spüren. Der milde Anstieg an Arbeitslosigkeit in industriell geprägten Kreisen lässt sich zu einem großen Teil auf den resoluten Einsatz von Kurzarbeit im Verarbeitenden Gewerbe zurückführen.
