Abstract

Vom 11. November 2024 bis zur Nubbelverbrennung am 5. März 2025 dauert die Karnevalssession 2024/25. Mit 115 Tagen zählt sie zu einer der längsten Sessionen aller Zeiten. Die längere Zeit zum Feiern schlägt sich auch in den Umsatzzahlen nieder. Mit mindestens 2,1 Milliarden Euro erreicht der Gesamtumsatz ein neues Rekordhoch - und wer in Köln feiern will, muss für die Hotelübernachtung besonders tief in die Tasche greifen.
