Internationale Fachkräfte: China verliert an Attraktivität

Abstract

Das einst aufstrebende China büßt zunehmend an Attraktivität bei ausländischen Fachkräften und Studierenden ein. Immer mehr Expats verlassen das Land. Im Jahr 2022 kehrten fast doppelt so viele Deutsche aus China zurück als nach China auswanderten. Seine einstige Anziehungskraft hat China durch Autoritarismus, Lock-Down-Politik und geopolitische Unsicherheit eingebüßt. Aktuell kommen 938 mehr Deutsche zurück aus China als dorthin auswandern. Für die demografische Entwicklung Chinas birgt dieser Wandel ein Risiko. Für Deutschland könnte der Verlust interkultureller Kompetenzen im Umgang mit China zum Problem werden.
