Abstract

Seit 2014 hat Deutschland an Wettbewerbsfähigkeit verloren und ist im IMD World Competitiveness Ranking von Platz sechs auf Platz 22 gerutscht. Auch China und die USA dienen nur begrenzt als Vorbilder für Wettbewerbsfähigkeit. Betrachtet man eine sichere Stromversorgung als Standortindikator, zeigen die USA im Vergleich zu anderen Industriestaaten erhebliche Schwächen. Beim Dreiklang aus Marktwirtschaft, Demokratie und Zivilgesellschaft als Standortindikator fällt China weit zurück, während Deutschland und andere europäische Staat die Top 10 dominieren.
