Abstract

"Die Weltwirtschaft scheint aus den Fugen zu geraten. Selbst jene, die sich in Wirtschaftsfragen kundig glaubten, reiben sich die Augen, was alles auf den internationalen Finanzmärkten möglich ist. Der völlige Zusammenbruch des Finanzsektors scheint durch beherztes politisches Handeln vermieden worden zu sein, doch Zweifel bleiben, ob unsere Wirtschaftsweise tragfähig und auch gesellschaftspolitisch nachhaltig ist." Diese Aussagen aus der Einleitung der Tagung 2009 zum Thema: "Ökonomie und die Vorstellungen einer gerechten Welt - Ist die Soziale Marktwirtschaft am Ende?" schließen sich nahtlos an die Fragen an die normative Basis der Tagung 2008 an. Dabei kann der Rekurs auf die Wertebasis nicht unbeachtet bleiben, der in der Tagung des Jahres 2010 unter dem Thema "Das kulturelle Fundament der Ökonomie" stand. Denn es sind nicht allein die technischen Regulierungsmöglichkeiten einer modernen Volks- oder gar Weltwirtschaft, die zu betrachten sind, sondern es ist das politische und gesellschaftliche System, das zu hinterfragen ist: Stichworte wie "Regulierungsversagen" und "Politikversagen" sind auf gleicher Höhe wie "Markt- und Wettbewerbsversagen" zu behandeln. Hier erscheint der gemeinsame Rückgriff auf die Wertebasis zwingend, die sich in der ethisch-sozialen Begründung der Sozialen Marktwirtschaft manifestiert. Materielle Wohlstandsmehrung ist ein, Gerechtigkeit ein anderes Bewertungskriterium für die Akzeptanz unseres Wirtschaftssystems. Das fünfte und sechste Forum "Menschenwürdige Wirtschaftsordnung" als gemeinsame Veranstaltung der Akademie für Politische Bildung Tutzing und des Instituts für Wirtschaftsforschung Halle, unterstützt durch die Hanns Martin Schleyer Stiftung, thematisierte im Frühsommer 2009 und 2010 die Bedeutung der Werterückbindung der Wirtschaft sowie das Spannungsfeld zwischen der Ökonomie und den Vorstellungen einer gerechten Welt. Die hier vorgelegten Vorträge entstammen diesen Veranstaltungen.
