Kann der deutsche Mittelstand "agil"?

Abstract

In der Diskussion um die Erfolgsfaktoren von Unternehmen im Wettbewerb zu Beginn des 21. Jahrhunderts wird immer häufiger "Agilität" genannt. In einer globalen und digitalen Wirtschaft bezeichnet Agilität die überlebensnotwendige Fähigkeit eines Unternehmens zum Wandel. Organisationen müssen Wandel in der Umwelt unternehmerisch zum einen antizipieren und aktiv gestalten, zum anderen aber auch zur schnellen reaktiven Anpassung an externen Wandel in der Lage sein. Unser Forschungsprojekt hat die Beantwortung der Frage zum Ziel: Kann der deutsche Mittelstand "agil"? Zu diesem Zweck haben wir 271 Führungskräfte mit Gesamt- oder Teilunternehmensverantwortung in mittelständischen Unternehmen verschiedener Branchen und Größen per Online-Fragebogen befragt. Anschließend wurden die Ergebnisse qualitativ durch Expertengespräche erweitert.
