Besondere Handelsbeziehungen zwischen Schleswig-Holstein und Dänemark? Ein Vergleich des Grenzhandels der deutschen Bundesländer

Abstract

Vor dem Hintergrund intensiver Exportbeziehungen Schleswig-Holsteins zu Dänemark wird untersucht, welchen Stellenwert dieser Grenzhandel für Schleswig-Holstein hat und welche Bedeutung diesem im Vergleich des Grenzhandels der anderen Bundesländer zukommt. Es wird gezeigt, dass für Schleswig-Holstein der Export nach Dänemark ein wesentlich höheres Gewicht als für Deutschland insgesamt hat, jedoch keinesfalls den schleswig-holsteinischen Export dominiert. Im Vergleich des Grenzhandels der deutschen Bundesländer wird deutlich, dass der Export Schleswig-Holsteins nach Dänemark zwar bedeutsam ist, aber aufgrund intensiverer Exportbeziehungen anderer Bundesländer mit ihren Nachbarn keine Sonderstellung hat - auch wenn der Anteil des Dänemarkexports in Schleswig-Holstein wesentlich höher ist als der Dänemarkanteil in Deutschland insgesamt. Allerdings zeigt die Analyse auch, dass die Anziehungskraft des dänischen Marktes sehr unterschiedlich auf die schleswig-holsteinischen Branchen wirkt: Statt der relativ technologieintensiven Schwergewichte im Gesamtexport Schleswig-Holsteins dominiert hier der Export in rohstoffintensiveren Warengruppen.
