Zu Entwicklung an den Rohstoffmärkten

Abstract

Der Einbruch der Weltwirtschaft im Zuge der Corona-Pandemie führte im Frühjahr 2020 auch zu einem drastischen Rückgang der Nachfrage nach Rohstoffen. Besonders die Rohölpreise sanken am Weltmarkt im März und April stark. Seit dem Frühsommer erholten sich die Ölnotierungen aber zügig; Anfang März lagen sie mit rund 70 US-Dollar für ein Fass der Sorte Brent sogar etwas höher als vor der Krise. Die Preise für Industrierohstoffe und agrarische Rohstoffe gingen vor einem Jahr vergleichsweise wenig zurück und sind seit dem Frühsommer stark aufwärtsgerichtet. Sie haben inzwischen ein Niveau erreicht, wie es zuletzt im Jahr 2012 verzeichnet wurden, dass das Ende des großen Booms der 2000er Jahre an den Rohstoffmärkten markiert.
