Zu den Auswirkungen eines Ölpreisanstiegs auf die Konjunktur in den Vereinigten Staaten

Abstract

Die Ölpreise haben sich gegen Ende des vergangenen Jahres und insbesondere zu Beginn des laufenden Jahres stark erhöht. Seit dem Frühjahr dieses Jahres sind die Ölpreise nicht mehr gestiegen, zuletzt waren sie sogar deutlich rückläufig. Es stellt sich die Frage, wie stark die Konjunktur in den Vereinigten Staaten vom Anstieg der Ölpreise gedämpft wurde und in welchem Ausmaß sie vom Ölpreisrückgang profitieren kann.
