Arbeitskräftebedarf und Personalentwicklung in der Pflege: Eine Erhebung im Land Bremen

Abstract

Das Gesundheits- und Sozialwesen ist von großer beschäftigungspolitischer Relevanz. Im Land Bremen arbeitet etwa jeder Neunte in diesem Bereich. Beschäftigte in der Pflege stellen dabei eine der größten Gruppen, der überwiegende Teil sind Frauen. Für die Zukunft wird ein Personal- und Fachkräftemangel in der Pflege befürchtet, denn es fehlt an Nachwuchs und die Arbeitsbedingungen sind wenig attraktiv. Qualifiziertes Personal und die Verbesserung der Arbeitsbedingungen sind von zentraler Bedeutung. Im Auftrag der Arbeitnehmerkammer wurde durch das Institut Arbeit und Wirtschaft (iaw) eine systematische Untersuchung der aktuellen Personal- und Beschäftigungssituation in den Pflegeeinrichtungen im Land Bremen durchgeführt. Die Untersuchung bietet belastbare Daten, auf deren Grundlage Handlungsempfehlungen für gezielte Maßnahmen zur nachhaltigen Verbesserung der Situation im Interesse der Pflegebedürftigen, der Pflegebeschäftigten und der Pflegeeinrichtungen entwickelt wurden.
