"Warum in die Ferne schweifen, ...?": Berufsmobilitäten in der Pflege

Abstract

Warum in die Ferne schweifen, wenn das Gute liegt so nah? - die Abwandlung Goethes Zitats1 verdeutlicht die Fragestellung des Beitrags, inwiefern Ein- und Ausstiege innerhalb der Pflege ein Muster bezüglich fachnaher, interaktionsin- tensiver Beschäftigungsfelder aufweisen? Teilauswertungen anhand des Sozio-oekonomischen Panels (SOEP) im Forschungsprojekt "Lebensphasengerechte Personalplanung & Berufslaufbahnkonzept" im Auftrag des Bundesinstitutes für Berufsbildung (BIBB) deuten darauf hin, dass bei Pflege(fach)personen sowohl bei Ausstiegen als auch bei (Quer-)Einstiegen eine Präferenz für soziale Interaktionsberufe vorliegt. Fokusgruppenergebnisse des Projekts verweisen zudem darauf, dass Laufbahnen in der Pflege heterogen sind, auf Eigenmotivation zurückgehen und Entscheidungen häufig mit dem Ziel verbunden sind, die Arbeit sowohl der eigenen Lebenswelt anzupassen als auch die berufliche Pflege "an sich" voranzubringen. Die Förderung individueller lebensphasenorientierter Lauf- bahnen sowie die Würdigung der Beziehungs- und Interakti- onsarbeit als Fundament der beruflichen Pflegetätigkeit sollten folglich stärker in organisationalen Maßnahmen für Neu-, Quer- und Wiedereinstiege berücksichtigt werden, um weitere Fachkräftepotenziale für die Pflege zu aktivieren.
