Serious Games für ältere Menschen: Theoretische Grundlagen zur Evaluation des Projektes "MobilityMotivator"

Abstract

Unter dem Begriff 'Serious Games' werden Spiele zusammengefasst, deren primäres Ziel nicht die Unterhaltung sondern die Bildung ist. Der Unterhaltungswert wird allerdings nicht ausgeschlossen, vielmehr wird er als Mittel zur Zielerreichung eingesetzt. Mit der Weiterentwicklung von Spielekonsolen, PCs und Smartphones kommen Serious Games zunehmend zum Einsatz in den Bereichen Prävention und Gesundheitsförderung. Die Wirksamkeit von Serious Games konnte in vielen Studien nachgewiesen werden. Es fehlt bislang allerdings ein Nachweis der Langzeitwirkung. Bislang wird vermehrt die Zielgruppe der jungen Leute angesprochen. Mit zunehmender Technikerfahrung und -akzeptanz wird aber auch die Zielgruppe der älteren Menschen immer interessanter für die Entwickler.
